Our Pink Campervans

Pop in for free breast health advice

Each year our specialist breast nurses travel around Aotearoa in one of our iconic Pink Campervans, providing free breast health advice. They visit towns and cities across the country, including our smaller communities, who don’t have access to the health services the bigger cities do.

We have our Pink Campervan, a bright pink motorhome, that tours far and wide, as well as our Pinkie, our original Pink Caravan.

For advice about mammograms and checking your breasts to healthy lifestyles and family risk, our nurses talk to Kiwis about all things breast health.

They would love to chat to you, so check out where our Pink Campervans are headed and pop in to say hi. It is free and there is no appointment needed.

Early detection saves lives

Breast cancer is the number one cancer for New Zealand women

Breast cancer is much more treatable if found early. Our Pink Campervans start conversations and raises awareness of breast cancer.

The aim? To educate Kiwis on what the signs and symptoms are, how to check your breasts as well as the importance of having regular mammograms.

We want Kiwis to get to know their bodies and what their “normal” is so that they get any changes checked out straight away.

Programmes like this are vital, as sharing these important messages across the country encourages people to be proactive about their breast health. On average we visit 60 communities from Kataia all the way down to Bluff and talk to nearly 4000 people each year.
